Cognate with Karakhanid [script needed] (oğlaq, “baby goat”); Kazakh лақ (laq), Kyrgyz улак (ulak), Kumyk улакъ (ulaq, “young goat”), Uzbek uloq, Uyghur ئوغلاق (oghlaq), Khakas оғлах (oğlax), Turkish oğlak (“baby goat”).
