Usage notes
[edit]- There is no clear or logical boundary between the terms used for smaller boats (båt) and larger ships (skepp/fartyg). A steamboat can be an ångfartyg. A tug boat and a private yacht, even a fairly large one, are still called a bärgningsbåt (“salvage vessel”) and a segelbåt (“sailboat”), for example.
