Usage notes
- The letter ґ (pronounced /ɡ/) was absent from official Soviet orthographies during 1933–1990, substituting г (h) (Ukrainian /ɦ/, Russian /ɡ/). It remained in use outside the Soviet Union.

Usage notes
- This letter is used mostly in Taraškievica spelling. Most people use the letter г for both ґ and г. Even though they make different sounds.
