Treaty of Versailles afterWWI the inhabitants were asked whether they want to remain in Germany or join the newSecond Polish Republic by theWarmia and Masuria plebiscite on July 11, 1920. 33.498 votes were given to remain in Germany, 1.073 votes for Poland. Based on that result Rosenberg was included in theRegierungsbezirk Marienwerder withinEast Prussia .After
WWII all German inhabitants were expelled.
