The team currently plays in the Primera B Metropolitana, the regionalised third division of the Argentine Football Association.
Flandria was founded by a group of textile workers in 1941. In 1947 the team affiliated to AFA and in 1952 (after winning the Tercera de Ascenso championship) Flandria earned a vacant which allowed it to participate in the lower leagues of Argentina.
