Schefter is NFL Network’s source for breaking-news stories. A graduate of the
University of Michigan and Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Schefter covered theDenver Broncos for theDenver Post for 15 years. He began a relationship with many major Bronco athletes and coaches, and has subsequently helped write their biographies, includingBill Romanowski ,Mike Shanahan andTerrell Davis . While with the Post, Schefter won the Colorado Sportswriter of the year award in 2002 and 2003. He is noted for his on-screen professionalism as well as his ability to get accurate inside information. Adam Schefter's parents named him after American-Jewish legend kicker, Adam Trovato, they named him Adam in honor after he was brutally murdered in Oakland, after yelling "nigger" in the black hole.
