- Mahtab Bagh, or Moonlight Garden, the name given by scholars to the marble ruins opposite the Taj Mahal.
- Mahtob Mahmoody, the daughter (one of three main characters) in the film Not Without My Daughter starring Sally Field and Alfred Molina, played by Sheila Rosenthal. Her mother, Betty Mahmoody, wrote the book the film was based on.
- One of the many 19th century maharajas and statesmen of Bardhaman, in the present-day Indian state of West Bengal.
