Andrew Warren Katzenmoyer (born December 2, 1977 in Westerville, Ohio) is a former professional American football player and the first Butkus Award-winning middle linebacker to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes (James Laurinaitis being the other). His signature bone-crunching hits became symbolic of the Ohio State teams he played on earning him the nickname "The Big Kat". Katzenmoyer wore number 45 at Ohio State, a number he wore in high school. It was previously worn by two time Heisman trophy winner Archie Griffin who gave Katzenmoyer permission to wear the number.

Katzenmoyer was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He suffered a neck injury during his first season with the Patriots that eventually forced him to have surgery and miss half of the 2000 season. During training camp in 2001, Katzenmoyer walked out without permission, citing concern about a feeling in his neck. He was placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Katzenmoyer is currently finishing his bachelor's degree at Otterbein College and serving as assistant football coach and defensive coordinator at Westerville South High School.

Katzenmoyer has opened his own personal training facility in Westerville, Ohio called Life Improvement Functional Training or L.I.F.T. Along with the training facility, he launched a web site on March 1st, 2008, lift-fitness.com. This past June, he married Ashleigh Quint, now Ashleigh Katzenmoyer. They recently moved back to Westerville in December and they are expecting their first child in April.
