Even though it has the same name and tail colors of theTuskegee Airmen unit, it is not of the same heritage. That 100th Fighter Squadron is known as the100th Fying Training Squadron . It was activated in 2007 in Alabama to replace the160th Fighter Squadron so the state could honor the sacrifices of theTuskegee Airmen .Mission
