Early life
As a child he always had aspirations of becoming a singer, so he attended
Baghdad Institute for Fine Arts , and studied the art of the IraqiOud (lute), finishing in the top ten of his class. In 1996, he left Iraq and headed to Jordan, where more opportunities awaited him. After spending four years there, he to Dubai where he launched "Milih wil zad" ("Salt and Food"), which is a song from Iraqi folklore, and this established him into theArab world .Discography
