Abstract: Purpose. To conduct a study to assess the scope of children's recreation in municipalities and regions for their residents. Methods. The study is based on the quantitative and scoring methods, questioning and interviewing. Results and practical importance. The sphere of children's recreation within the system of supplemen-tary education ensures the development of demographic, investment and general economic indicators, raises the standard of living, both in the region and in the country as a whole. Scientific novelty. The attitude of residents to the system of additional education through the sphere of children's recreation as a factor of attractiveness and an indicator of the quality of life of the popula-tion is revealed.
