How to draw a cute kawaii bee – Easy Step by step instructions
The bee is very small, so we will use very simple shapes to draw the little kawaii bee.
Let’s begin.
We will first draw a simple oval shape.
This will be the whole bee’s body.
Next, we are going to draw the stripes of the bee.
The face is going to be on the left side of this drawing.
So, close to the middle of the bee’s body, draw 2 stripes like this – sort of like concentric semi-circles. This will be a brown stripe on the bee’s body – we will color it later.
Let’s add one more stripe on the bee’s bottom. We’ll leave a little space and draw one more line like this at the bottom of the bee.
Take your time to draw this cute kawaii bee – there is no rush.
You can even print this guide out and trace the steps so that it’s easy for you to draw the bee.
Now, let’s draw the face.
I’m going to draw 2 small eyes and a “u” shaped mouth in the middle of the eyes.
This is a standard kawaii face for anyone who wants to draw cute kawaii faces on animals or food.
Let’s draw the little wings.
On top of the bee in the middle of the bee’s body, we’re going to draw 2 small tear drop shapes – these will be the bee’s wings.
Now, we’re nearly done. We just need to add the final details. You can also check out these books if you’re looking to learn to draw more kawaii animals.
Now, let’s draw the sting and the legs – these are the typical bee characteristics.
We will draw a small pointy triangle near the bee’s bottom – this will become the bee’s sting.
And draw small legs at the bottom of the bee. You don’t have to draw all 4 since 1 is behind the bee. Just make the legs as simple as possible.
This will make your bee look very cute and kawaii – the idea is to keep the shapes very simple.
Easy, isn’t it?
We’ve just finished learning how to draw a cute kawaii bee.
Now, we can move to color the bee.
Let’s begin with a mild yellow color. Just color the bee’s body yellow. Any yellow will do! You can even color the bee a lemon yellow.
Next, color the stripes a nice, dark chocolate brown.
Don’t forget to color the legs and beesting too!
Next, color the wings light blue. This will add some color to your honeybee.
Lastly, you can add 2 cute pink blush spots to your bee to give it that extra cute kawaii effect.
I do this for most of my drawings!
And we’re finished!
Remember, you can color your bee any color you want!
Tadaa! We’ve just learned how to draw and color a cute kawaii bee

If you are interested in drawing in a kawaii style and then selling clipart or merchandise on Etsy, check out this course!
My old bud Ilaria (we’ve been friends on Instagram back when I had Instagram) created this course! I’ve watched her grow from 0 followers, and I’m so, so proud of her!
And believe it or not, there is not 1 single good online course about learning how to draw kawaii art and then making physical stickers on the internet. I’ve been looking for a course like this for a long, long time.
And it’s finally here!!!
You can create your own stickers and print them and sell them on Etsy or any space! She goes into detail about how to draw the characters.
This is by far one of the best courses I’ve taken that is so cute and so educational.
The course is in English, and it’s amazing!
What do you need?
A sketchbook, Photoshop, and a graphic tablet so that you can draw the kawaii characters. If you want to make stickers, you’ll need a printer and sticker sheets.
Even if you don’t want to make stickers and just draw kawaii characters, this course is perfect!
