Using industry-style software engineering and project management in a group project

Published: 01 April 2010 Publication History

Abstract

This paper describes our approach for conducting a group project in a software engineering course. We organize students into an actual software development company and conduct activities that mimic real-world operations in that company. We have applied this approach to our group projects for the past four years with excellent results.
