Abstract

In order to improve the actual operation efficiency of overhead passenger equipment in coal mines, a direct-drive outer-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motor (DDO-PMSM) is designed to replace the traditional asynchronous motor acceleration and deceleration traction machine. Through analytical calculation and computer simulation, the pole-slot matching of the motor and the magnetic pole size of the permanent magnet (PM) are optimised. Then, the DDO-PMSM is modelled and simulated by the ANSOFT software. The rationality of the DDO-PMSM design is verified by the no-load state and load state of the motor. Finally, the simulation data of the PM synchronous motor is compared with the actual running test data of the traditional mode. Comparing the results, the rationality and practicability of the direct-drive scheme design are verified. The design basis and reference are provided for further optimisation design of direct-drive synchronous PM traction machine in the same field.
