Abstract
—Multicast routing in communication networks consists of transmitting data from one (or more) sources to multiple destinations, while minimizing the use of network resources and taking into account multiple QoS (quality of service) parameters. In an effort to understand the benefits and drawbacks of existing methods, this state-of-the-art paper aims to provide a tutorial that is easy to follow for readers who are not already familiar with the subject, and make a comprehensive survey and comparisons of different techniques employed in or proposed for routing problem.
Index Terms
