Changing role of the systems analyst

Published: 01 January 1976 Publication History

Abstract

The role of the systems analyst in the development of information systems has been changing. The reasons for this are numerous, and this paper attempts to identify these, and to project the future role of the analyst. The past, current, and future roles will be presented from the aspects of: scope of the systems analyst in the life cycle; the users; technology for constructing and analyzing requirements of information systems; and qualifications and roles of the systems analyst.
