Published: 01 September 1981 Publication History

Abstract

This paper is directed at APL-users who wants a quick introduction into the main features of the Simula programming language. Simula is a general purpose high-level language. Good Simula systems exist on most large computers. The paper describes the methods for program and data structuring in Simula. These are well suited for structured programming and for the production of secure, modular programs. The paper also points at some major differences between Simula and APL.
