Concurrent Immediate Reference Counting (Abstract)

Abstract

We present Concurrent Immediate Reference Counting (CIRC), a new automatic concurrent reference counting method for unmanaged languages. CIRC utilizes deferral for high-performance local references, and yet it can immediately reclaim big linked structures.
