A Case Study of Teacher Written Feedback on Students’ Chinese Writings in Distance Education

Published: 14 March 2022 Publication History

Abstract

To improve the effectiveness of teacher written feedback in distance education, this paper develops a multiple-draft writing feedback approach based on Microsoft Office Word and Excel via Email. Under the guidance of form-content combined feedback, this paper seeks out the types and components of teachers’ written feedback and builds 47 templates for the form-content combined teacher written feedback. Through interviews and questionnaire, it surveys the reactions and preferences of the students to teacher written feedback. After six months of practice, the experiment indicates the multiple-draft writing feedback approach is effective for improving learners’ writing quality and accuracy.
