Abstract
In the paper, a UWB-MIMO antenna with quintuple notched-band ability is proposed. Four CCSRR slots and a couple of C-like stub are engraved to avoid five frequency bands at 3.4–4 GHz, 5.2–5.7 GHz, 5.9–6.3 GHz, 7.5–7.9 GHz and 8.3–8.9 GHz. Thus the system has refusal ability at WiMAX, lower WLAN, upper WLAN, low side band of X-band and upside band of X-band. Mutual coupling was suppressed and the isolation was more than 20 dB by means of three decoupling methods(cutting a triangular shape on upper patch, etching a ground slot and adding a candied haws shaped stub). The entire UWB-MIMO antenna has a smart size of 30 × 44 mm2 and works in 3–11 GHz band. Design principles, parameter analysis are further studied. The result data of S-parameters, far-field E-plane and H-plane patterns, ECC, DG, gain, and efficiency indicate that the proposed antenna is a satisfactory candidate in practical use of UWB.
