Parametric studies of thermal configurations for hybrid systems with coal-gasification-product fuel cells

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

A hybrid system with solid-oxide fuel cells employing coal gasification products is examined. Parametric studies of its thermal configuration are made on the basis of integrated models for the major system components. It is found that the electrical efficiency of the system is highest for a configuration with gasification of dry dust, a solid-oxide fuel cell under pressure, and a regenerative air preheater.
