Abstract

The general aim of the represented poster is the demonstration of detailed simulation for relevant processes in some important fields of modern science obtained with the help of medium range supercomputers of the St. Petersburg Institute for High-Performance Computing and Data Bases. The demonstration consists of seven independent parts where each one is devoted to the different problems of modern science, including gas dynamics, non- stationary gas flows interaction, non-linear elastic waves generation in solids, modeling of semiconductor heterogeneous structures, convective clouds development in extreme conditions, functional organization of regulatory genes and different aspects of artificial intelligence. The experience represented in the demonstration can help novices to make their first steps in using supercomputers for the purposes of numerical simulation.
