Abstract

Channel estimation which utilizes OFDM is one of the key issues to be resolved in broadband wireless access. A channel estimation algorithm is proposed on account of the fast time-varying characteristics in wireless channel. Firstly, the rough estimation to the pilot frequency information is acquired by LS algorithm. Then fractal interpolation is applied to the impulse response of the pilot frequency point channel estimated. Finally the accurate estimation results are received by adaptive filtering. Simulation results illustrate that the algorithm can estimate the properties of wireless channel effectively, and reduce the error rate. So this algorithm has a good channel estimation performance.
