Abstract
People with intellectual disabilities live in supervised flats in an autonomous way and need daily care hours for carrying out certain specific tasks.
This paper presents a technological solution to promote independent living for people with intellectual disabilities. The aim is to develop an aid that reminds the user about the most important tasks they have to perform.
The device chosen to convey this information is an Android Smartphone. The social workers, psychologists and users involved in its development have assessed the application very positively, as it meets the needs of this disabled collective perfectly.
