Abstract

For packet video transmission over DiffServ networks, a novel Low Complexity Priority Classification (LCPC) scheme is presented in this paper, which maps video streaming packets to differentiated priorities based on their ratios of intra-refresh macroblocks in each frame, each region and each slice respectively. The experimental results show that LCPC can effectively improve the video quality.
