Abstract
Aircrafts have been widely used in recent years with the rapid developments in economies. In consideration of aircraft security and the importance of navigation information, numerous sensors have been utilized for aircraft tracking. Deviations are easily produced by sensors and have significant influence on information accuracy. The existing literature on methods to monitor sensors and evaluate their deviations is limited. In this paper, the information detected by sensors is compared to the reference trajectory. Subsequently, a novel method to calculate deviations and errors is proposed. To validate the reliability of the evaluation results, the Chi Square test is integrated into the research method. A statistical method is also proposed to identify the existence of deviations between two sensors.
