Definition
The children privacy protection aims to enable parents or guardians to be in control of their children’s privacy by specifying their privacy preferences for a toy, under the assumption that the toy has published an accurate privacy policy and complies with it in a privacy protection engine attached to the toy.
Privacy Protection Laws
Referring to the direction of the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 1998), and the European Union Data Protection Directive (EUDPD), a child is an individual under the age of 13 years old (Hung 2015).
