Abstract

With the aging of the population becoming severe, the elderly's health has become a concern. The survey shows that the main providers of voluntary services for the elderly are college students, who help to improve the quality of life of the elderly and alleviate their psychological problems. In this paper, digital art generated from health data were assessed through interview to verify their correlation with the health of the elderly. We selected ten college student volunteers with the aesthetic basis to view 100 digital artworks generated by the health data from the elderly. Volunteers were asked to score these digital artworks and assess their emotional state before and after the experiment. The relationship between digital art and health and mood was examined by analyzing interview results. Finally, we found that the score was associated with the health data (X2 = 15.174, ρ < 0.001). Of these, 60% of the volunteers could understand the expressive intention of the images in the digital artworks, and 70% thought they could perceive the emotions expressed in those artworks. In conclusion, the digital artworks generated from different health data have different features, forms, and colors. They bring different emotional experiences to volunteers and provide a scientific method for them quickly identify the health of the elderly.
