Abstract
This paper presents a study for the effectiveness of digital nudging using two alternative questionnaire designs. Each questionnaire used the same 13 questions but included different digital nudges aiming to lead the participant to a different choice. The questionnaire topic was about students’ anxiety, while 230 valid questionnaire responses were collected and used in this study. The paper presents the types of digital nudges that were used and the success or failure of each type. Results indicate that digital nudges were successful in some cases while failed in some other cases. The discussion focuses on what type of digital nudges were successful and in which cases. Based on the statistical analysis, while some digital nudges types are more effective, the topic of the question is also related to participants’ resistance towards a digital nudge.
