Abstract

This paper introduces that when VR technology and printmaking are applied to art education in ordinary primary and secondary schools, students’ contact with emerging technologies would help expand the learning thinking and enthusiasm, and would also help students’ learning and relieve teachers’ teaching pressure. Nowadays, printmaking, as a major part of art, also occupies an important position in art teaching in primary and secondary schools. Traditional printmaking teaching cannot be separated from the existence of the laboratory. The laboratory is the foundation of printmaking art whether it is woodcut printmaking, silk screen printmaking, copperplate printmaking or lithography. However, according to the investigation, it is found that the current printmaking laboratories in primary and secondary schools are not fully equipped, and some art teachers are not majoring in printmaking, which makes our teenagers and children know little about the art of printmaking. Therefore, VR smart print teaching research based on Unity3D is particularly important, which brings fresh blood to the art education industry. In view of the lack of professional printmaking laboratories and the lack of professional printmaking teachers in primary and secondary schools in China, this paper takes printmaking teaching as the research object, and writes corresponding C# scripts as the technical support based on Unity3d game engine and 3Dmax as the relevant software support. During this period, LIDAR lenses in iPad2020pro and the app “3D Scanner” are used to scan local real scenes. The construction of virtual scenes is enhanced by transforming the model into some virtual scenes. Students use VR helmets and sensing handles to simulate the teaching state of virtual prints. This paper covers my research objectives, research contents and lists some computer C# scripts when I used Unity3d to simulate student experiments in printmaking laboratory.
