Abstract

Modern healthcare requires innovative methods and approaches in order to be effective. This leads to the inclusion of leading technological systems, which combine strong interdisciplinarity. This report covers the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) compliant with computer-aided design (CAD) for development of specific dental structures such as Immediate Partial Dentures. The process of developing the 3D prosthetic construction, which is in accordance with the individual clinical features, is presented in detail. The methodology for fingerprinting, digitization and construction of correct geometry of the completed model is indicated in sequence. The presented data is suitable for wide range of healthcare professionals, and in particular specialists in dental biomedicine, engineers, medical professionals as well as consumers.
