Die 46. Ausgabe der WRC-Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft wurde vom 25. Januar bis zum 18. November 2018 ausgetragen. Nachdem die Rallye Polen wegen mangelnder Sicherheitsbestimmungen aus dem Kalender genommen worden war, wurde sie durch die Rallye Türkei ersetzt.[1] Außerdem wurde das Team M-Sport nach dem Sieg in der Team-Wertung wieder von Ford werksmäßig unterstützt.[2] Auch der Rekordmeister der WRC Sébastien Loeb kehrte für drei Rallys zurück.[3]
