Dying Light 2‘s map isn’t one of the largest open world maps of all time, though it does feel like one of the most alive. Ironic, considering it’s teeming with dead people.
Here’s a breakdown of Dying Light 2’s Villedor map, including each zone you can finish.
DYING LIGHT 2 LOCATIONS: Inhibitors | GRE Anomalies | Infected Trophies
Above is the full map of Dying Light 2, which consists of two major hubs: Old Villedor and the Central Loop.
Old Villedor is the starting hub of Dying Light 2 and is considerably smaller than the Central Loop with easier enemies and zones, though it does feel denser in terms of content.
Here are all of the zones within Old Villedor.
– Trinity
– Horseshoe
– Quarry End
– Houndfield
Players will probably spend most of their time in Trinity, as it’s the zone where you begin and also where you can find the Bazaar: the home of the Survivors faction. Don’t worry too much about exploring every inch of it to begin with, as exploration gets much easier once you get the Grappling Hook.
Central Loop is the bigger hub in the Dying Light 2 map, a much more modern area of Villedor that is dominated by massive skyscrapers and a massive amount of infected to go with them. Expect to reach here after 10-15 hours of gameplay, unless you do nothing but play the story. You cannot get to Central Loop before making set story progress.
Here are all of the zones in Central Loop:
– Downtown
– Garrison
– The Wharf
– Muddy Grounds
– New Dawn Park
– Saint Paul Island
– Lower Dam Ayre
– Newfound Lost Lands
Downtown and Garrison are the two most “bustling” areas of Central Loop, with both being packed with collectibles and quests. Newfound Lost Lands has the least going for it, as it’s been almost totally taken over by chemical waste and isn’t properly recognised as its own zone. You can find the headquarters of the Peacekeepers in The Wharf, the headquarters of the Carriers in Downtown, and the Fish Eye Bar in New Dawn Park.
Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
