15K views · 1.5K reactions | ✨ You’ve just arrived in Kanab, Utah, an outdoor lover’s paradise in Southern Utah. What adventure do you choose first? 1. Sandboarding at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is SO fun. $15 vehicle entry and $25 board rentals — or take your own. 2. Some of the best Cuban Cuisine I’ve EVER had. The Cubano is AMAZING, as well as the brisket tacos — not to mention the best fries I’ve ever had. 3. If slot canyons are your jam, you’ll have multiple options! Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch can’t be beat ($6 per person), or try one of the lesser known canyons that are free — Red Canyon (4x4 required and DEEP sand driving experience is a necessity) or Red Hollow Canyon. 4. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary and home to 1,600 adoptable cats, dogs, pigs, horses, parrots, bunnies, and more. We stopped for a free tour and played with the kitties. 5. The Sand Caves are a classic stop and only 1.2 miles RT. Please don’t add to the graffiti within the caves. 6. A stop at Brown Box Kanab is a MUST. I suggest the Kanookie —Your choice of cookie dough, slightly underbaked to gooey perfection in a 6’” skillet topped with ice cream and sauce. This holiday season, I recommend a molasses cookie with eggnog ice cream topped with hot caramel. Holy drool, it’s amazing. 7. Take a walk through Belly of the Dragon. I think social media has hyped this place WAY up — it’s a cool walk through a man-made tunnel, but nothing to drive out of the way for. 8. Can you go to Kanab and not try for a Wave Permit? Every time I go, I can’t help but apply and make daily donation to the BLM. Recreation.gov for more info. 9. Hoodoos and Toadstools are otherworldly and there are so many in this area — two trails I recommend are The Toadstools (1.8 miles RT) and Wahweap Hoodoos (10.5 miles RT) 10. Kanab is located in very close proximity to two National Parks — Bryce (1.5 hours) and Zion (45 minutes) so you’ll never run out of adventures! Hello! Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in Colorado is a breathtaking natural wonder, known for its dramatic, sheer cliffs that were carved by the Gunnison River over millions of years. The canyon’s narrow and deep formations create a unique landscape, with some walls measuring over 2,000 feet. During your visit, you can explore several scenic viewpoints along the South Rim Road and enjoy numerous hiking trails. Be sure to not miss these epic viewpoints: * Gunnison Point * Pulpit Rock Overlook * Cross Fissures View * Chasm View * Painted Wall * Dragon Point Hours:
🕒 Open 24 hours, year-round, but keep in mind:
❄️ East Portal & South Rim Roads close during the winter, usually by mid-November. Roads typically reopen in April. Entry Fees: * $30 per vehicle * Or use your Annual National Parks Pass ($80) for unlimited access to all U.S. national parks! Black Canyon of the Gunnison is located 5 hours from Denver and 3 hours from Moab. Have you ever wanted to visit here? #blackcanyonofthegunnison #nationalparks #nationalparksusa #usaroadtrip #coloradoadventures #coloradohiking #explorecolorado | Marisa and Brett | adventure travel couple

5.1K views · 612 reactions | Don’t leave Utah without visiting these amazing places⬇️ 📍Long Dong Silver Located off Utah Highway 24, near the town of Hanksville. You will drive all the way up to where there is a sign that says no more vehicle allowed beyond this point, from there you will hike about 1 mile. There is no official trail, and the ground is soft and sandy in the entire area. 📍Bentonite Hills You can spot these near Capitol Reef National Park in the Cathedral Valley section or in Hanksville, UT 📍Goblin Valley State Park 🎟️ $20/car entrance fee ⛰️ Located near Hanksville 🚘 There are 3 main valleys to explore in the park, the hoodoos get taller as you go further into the park (valley 1 hoodoos are shortest, valley 3 hoodoos are the tallest) 📸 Main things to do: 🟢 Three Sisters 🟢Goblin’s Lair (have the option to do a guided canyoneering tour) 🟢Stargaze 📍Muley Point Offers stunning view of Goosenecks from afar 📍Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park $10/vehicle entrance fee. Lots of fun activities such as sandboarding/sand sledding and Off-Highway Vehicle riding. Best time to photograph the sand dunes is sunset. 📍Inchworm Arch ✈️Best time to visit: good year-round but we recommend late summer and fall 🚘 4x4 required. You will be driving about 8 miles on unpaved deep sand road from Nephi Pasture Staging Area/Inchworm Trailhead to the feature 🥾500 ft walk from the parking area 📍Cedar Breaks National Monument Located just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks offers views of the iconic hoodoos from Bryce Canyon without the crowds. Make sure you stop by along your visit to Bryce Canyon NP! 📍Toadstool Hoodoos 🚗Lighting is best at sunset. Make sure to bring headlamps if you plan to stay late. This is also an amazing NIGHT photography spot, we stayed late and saw SO many shooting stars! ⛑️This is a remote area with spotty cell service. Bring plenty of water, hiking shoes with good traction, sunscreen, and hat. 🥾1.8 miles RT, easy flat hike. #utahhiddengems #utahplaces #visitutah #utahitinerary #adventuretravel #roadtrip | ZURUI & TRAVIS | Bucket List Adventure Travel Couple
