I have a high ELL population in my class room, so we were learning what "April Showers" meant, and I decided to try the crayon melting craze in Kindergarten. Hot glue your old crayons across the top of the construction paper. Use a hairdryer and have students hold a cup in the middle of the paper so that when the wax runs down it creates the umbrella effect. Let dry, then have students glue a half-circle of paper in the cup spot for an umbrella, and then bend and glue down a pipe-cleaner han...

Baby boy shower: I was thinking of doing a rain cloud, thunderbolt, and sunshine theme in the nursery before I picked bunnies and vegetables. Now that I know I'm having a boy, I think I'm switching back to weather related theme... Maybe I do want the "you are my sunshine" theme.
