A world-renowned first person shooter (FPS) game will soon be making its way to Xbox consoles. Finally after getting pushed back from a 2021 release date, CrossfireX will be arriving later this week, providing both Campaign and Multiplayer game modes at launch. CrossfireX Release Date: February 10, 2022
CrossfireX will be coming out exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on February 10, 2022. The upcoming FPS title offers limited edition packages: the Originator's Bundle and the Founder's Bundle. But even though the game is releasing this Thursday, the preorder period will actually last until midnight of February 14 (GMT).
CrossfireX gameplay
CrossfireX will provide both a multiplayer mode and two campaign modes, which were developed closely with Finnish video game studio Remedy Entertainment. To get both Operation Spectre and Operation Catalyst single-player modes, you'll have to opt for the Ultimate bundle on offer. Luckily, Xbox Game Pass holders will have access to the Operation Catalyst campaign for free when the game drops.
The game pits players against the backdrop of a global conflict between the Global Risk and Black List mercenary factions. The action-packed story features immersive and cinematic graphics, while players can try out different firing styles as teams battle for control. In Spectre mode specifically, CrossfireX launches the Laboratory map where mercenaries must fight against invisible Spectres (or you can choose to use camouflage technology and become the invisible foes yourself).
Black Widow, the classic Search and Destroy map in the original CrossFire game, will also be arriving in the Xbox release. Here, players sneak across the map to either plant a bomb or eliminate all enemy threats as Black List, or defend and defuse any situation as Global Risk.
CrossfireX will also introduce a mechanic for Legendary Mercenaries, unlocked through achieving Kill Streaks and Death Streaks in the game's Modern mode. You get to transform into characters like the Death King, which has high HP and speed as well as wields twin SMGs for devastating close quarters combat.
