Abstract: Recently, the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese for Interactive Multi-criteria Decision Making) method, which can characterize the decision makers’ psychological behaviors under risk, has been introduced to handle multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems. Moreover, the probabilistic linguistic term sets (PLTSs) are effective tool for depicting uncertainty of the MAGDM problems. In this paper, we extend the TODIM method to the MAGDM with PLTSs. Firstly, the definition, comparative method and distance of PLTSs are simply introduced, and the steps of the classical TODIM method for MAGDM problems are presented. Then, on the basis of the conventional TODIM method, the…extended TODIM method is proposed to deal with MAGDM problems in which the attribute values are depicted in the PLTSs, and its significant characteristic is that it can fully consider the decision makers’ bounded rationality which is a real action in decision making. Finally, a numerical example for green supplier selection is proposed to verify the developed approach and its practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract: Point-of-Interest (POI) recommendation is one of the most important tasks in the field of social network analysis. Many efforts have been proposed to enhance the model performance for the POI recommendation task in recent years. Existing studies have revealed that the temporal factor and geographical factor are two crucial contextual factors which influence user decisions. However, they only learn representations of POIs and users from the single contextual factor and fuse the learned representations in the final stage, which ignores the interactions of different contextual factors, leading to learning suboptimal representations of POIs and users. To overcome this gap, we…propose a novel Temporal-Geographical Attention-based Transformer (TGAT) for the POI recommendation task. Specifically, TGAT develops a hybrid sequence sampling strategy that samples the sequence of POIs from the different contextual factor POI graphs generated by the users’ check-in records. In this way, the interactions of different contextual factors can be care-fully pre-served. Then TGAT conducts a Transformer-based neural network backbone to learn representations of POIs from the sampling sequences. In addition, a weighted aggregation strategy is proposed to fuse the representations learned from different context factors. The extensive experimental results on real-world datasets have demonstrated the effectiveness of TGAT.

Abstract: Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs) is inherited and developed from the traditional Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Quality of service (QoS) has become an important index to evaluate the quality of the WMSNs. This paper discusses the following two aspects. Firstly, we propose a method to handle sudden network congestion–improving the way of key frame transmission, namely increasing the compression ratio of the key frames. The process reduces the video image quality, it can guarantee the continuity of video signal and conform the requirement of people’s daily viewing. Secondly, the paper is discussing to apply the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to…improve the mathematical model and make it apply to WMSNs. At last, the experiment turns out that the improved ACO can be used in routing and this has certain application value.

Abstract: Passenger transport safety evaluation plays a very important role in the development of China’s railway. In order to obtain the optimal indicator weight in railway passenger transport safety evaluation, firstly, fuzzy theory and analytic hierarchy process are combined in this study to provide the change interval of each evaluation Indicator weight and generate different weights in every interval. Then it will generate evaluation results for different indicator weights through the simulation experiment of Monte Carlo Simulation and get the variance of evaluation results through quantitative methods. At last, the variance will be treated as the fitness function of genetic algorithm…to do backward feedback to realize the optimization of indicator weight, and optimized weight will be used in the calculation of passenger safety evaluation result of all kinds of China’s railway companies. The experimental results show that the method can fine tune the weights on the basis of full respect of the experts’ evaluation of the index weights, and make the evaluation results more actually reflecting the safety management level of the railway company.

Abstract: The overall quality evaluation of operation personnel helps contain site safety accidents, in this study, we proposed a combination of the Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic fuzzy set and qualitative flexible multiple criteria (QUALIFLEX) method to evaluate comprehensive quality of operation personnel in engineering projects, Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic fuzzy numbers to express decision makers’ evaluation on each scheme with original QUALIFLEX approach to decision making process. In the end, an example of the performance evaluation of operation personnel in the engineering project is provided to test the applicability and practicability of the method, comparison analysis for further elaboration.

Abstract: In practical multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) issues, uncertain and fuzzy cognitive decision information is well-depicted by linguistic term sets (LTSs). These LTSs are easily shifted into probabilistic linguistic sets (PLTSs). In such paper, a grey relational analysis (GRA) method is investigated to tackle probabilistic linguistic MAGDM with completely unknown attribute weights. Firstly, the definition of score function is then employed to objectively obtain the attribute weights based on the CRITIC method. Then, the optimal alternative is chosen through calculating largest relative relational degree from the probabilistic linguistic positive ideal solution (PLPIS) which considers both the largest grey relational…coefficient from the PLPIS and the smallest grey relational coefficient form probabilistic linguistic negative ideal solution (PLNIS). This proposed method extends the applications range of the classical GRA method. Finally, a numerical case for site selection of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) is employed to illustrate the proposed method. The effectiveness of the proposed method is also verified by some comparative studies.

Abstract: In recent years, the threats and damages caused by active worms have become more and more serious. In order to reduce the loss caused by fast-spreading active worms, an effective detection mechanism to quickly detect worms is desired. In this paper, we first explore various scan strategies used by worms on finding vulnerable hosts. We show that targeted worms spread much faster than random scan worms. We then present a generic worm detection architecture to monitor malicious worm activities. We propose and evaluate our detection mechanism called Victim Number Based Algorithm. We show that our detection algorithm is effective and…able to detect worm events before 2% of vulnerable hosts are infected for most scenarios. Furthermore, in order to reduce false alarms, we propose an integrated approach using multiple parameters as indicators to detect worm events. The results suggest that our integrated approach can differentiate worm attacks from DDoS attacks and benign scans.

Abstract: Picture fuzzy sets (PFSs) utilize the positive, neutral, negative and refusal membership degrees to describe the behaviours of decision-makers in more detail. In this article, we expound the application of extended TODIM based on cumulative prospect theory under picture fuzzy multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM). In addition, we adopt Information Entropy, which is used to ascertain the weighting vector of attributes to improve the availability of the TODIM method. At last, we exercise the improved TODIM into a numerical case for super market location and testify the effectiveness of this new method by comparing its results with other methods’…results.

Abstract: Probabilistic uncertain linguistic sets (PULTSs) have extensively been employed in multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM)problem. The QUALIFLEX method, which is relatively a novel MAGDM technique, aims to obtain the optimal alternative. This paper proposes the probabilistic uncertain linguistic QUALIFLEX (PUL-QUALIFLEX) method with CRITIC method. To show the effectiveness of the designed method, an application is given for green supplier selection and the derived results are compared with some existing methods. Thus, the advantage of this proposed method is that it is simple to understand and easy to compute. The proposed method can also contribute to the selection of suitable…alternative successfully in other selection issues.
