Did you know the district has a state of the art pediatric dental clinic for students? All PreK-12 students can receive services at the W.D. Kelley Dental Clinic, Monday and Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Services include dental screenings, checkups and cleanings, fillings, crowns, fluoride varnish and extraction emergency care. There will be FREE Dental Screenings on December 16 10am - 2pm.

One of the strategic actions for accomplishing this is an examination of, and a plan to improve, our physical learning spaces. The School District of Philadelphia is reimagining our school buildings to create safer, healthier learning environments for our students. Join us in shaping the future of our schools by:

• Taking the School Building Stakeholder Feedback Survey: Share your thoughts on current building conditions, priorities for improvements, and more. The survey closes on December 31st at 11:59pm.
• Attending a Community Listening Session: Participate in in-person or virtual discussions to provide direct feedback.

Thank you to all our families for participating in the Find Your Fit school selection process for the 2025-2026 school year. We’re excited to share that application reviews are complete, and preliminary eligibility results are now available online. You can view your child’s updated application status on the school selection website.

Please note that some applications may require additional steps to confirm eligibility. If your child’s application is currently ineligible, you have the opportunity to appeal this decision until Friday, December 5, 2024, at 5 PM.

Viral illnesses like colds, flu, RSV, and COVID-19 spread more easily in fall and winter, so we recommend getting the flu and COVID-19 vaccines soon. The Ala Stanford Center for Health Equity offers free vaccines—register here. Children should attend school if they're generally healthy, but students with severe symptoms like a heavy runny nose, persistent cough, breathing trouble, fever, or if they appear unwell should stay home. They can return when symptoms improve and they're fever-free for 24 hours without medication, and after COVID-19, we suggest wearing a mask for 5 days when back at school.
