Packard 160 was part of a model designation by the Packard Motor Car Company from 1940 until 1942, referring to its engine's horsepower. Complete designation in factory preferred spelling is Packard Super Eight One-Sixty. Some 1942 models got Clipper styling and were similarly called "Packard Clipper Super Eight One-Sixty". While the designation "Super Eight" was used earlier and later, "160" or "One Sixty" always was part of the designation, and never stood alone.

Technically, the Super Eight One-Sixty was similar to the Custom Super Eight One-Eighty, but slightly differed in outside trim, and offered less elaborate interiors. Super Eight One-Sixty and Custom Super Eight One-Eighty were labeled as Packard's "senior" models in these years. Air conditioning was an option for all senior Packards from 1940, and an industry first, at that.

Engine was a new 356 c.i. straight eight delivering 160 bhp (165 in 1942). The Super Eight One-Sixty was available in three wheel bases:

• 127 inch (1803, 1903, 2003 for 1940, 1941, and 1942, respectively. Only in 1941, there were also two Super Eight Deluxe models, a Convertible Sedan and a Touring Sedan. 2003 has Clipper styling.)
• 138 inch (1804, 1904, 2004 for 1940, 1941, and 1942, respectively. The line consisted of a sole 5-passenger Touring Sedan)
• 148 inch (1805, 1905, 2005 for 1940, 1941, and 1942, respectively. The line consisted of a Touring Limousine and a Touring Sedan, each for 8 passengers. In 1942, a differently fitted 2055 business sedan and limousine were added.)
