English : Animation: the formation of a pulsar
A star in a binary star system has collapsed to a neutron star. It begins to gain material from its companion star (known as "accretion"). The infalling matter causes it to speed up and begin emitting high energy radiation, eventually forming a pulsar rotating at up to 1000 times a second.

English : Lake Lucerne side-wheel paddle steamer "Unterwalden" at the "steamer parade" celebrating her comprehensive restoration and re-entering service, 7 May 2011. "Unterwalden" is the only steamer on Lake Lucern which is able to retract her chimney, steering cabin and venting tubes as well as to lower the masts, all in order to pass the low Acheregg bridge near Stansstad. This video shows her with everything retracted/lowered and passing the bridge. As it's the inauguration act after restoration, it's accompanied by water jets from fire engines, which also let their sirens sound. At the moment of passing the bridge, the accompanying steamships (not visible) as well as the "Unterwalden" herself let their steam whistles sound.

English : The STS-134 crew led by Commander Mark Kelly are on their way to the International Space Station after launching from NASA's Kennedy Space Center at 8:56 a.m. EDT Monday, May 16. The crew of Kelly, pilot Greg Johnson, mission specialists Mike Fincke, Drew Feustel, Greg Chamitoff and European Space Agency astronaut Roberto Vittori will deliver the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer-2 (AMS) and critical supplies to the space station. The supplies include two communications antennas, a high-pressure gas tank and additional parts for the Dextre robot. The AMS is a particle physics detector designed to search for various types of unusual cosmic matter. The crew also will transfer Endeavour's orbiter boom sensor system, where it could assist spacewalkers as an extension for the station's robotic arm. The STS-134 mission is the next-to-last for the Space Shuttle Program and the final one for shuttle Endeavour.
