This mistakes was already reported in publication from the 1960s: The depiction of the flag is wrong, there were no white stripes Antemister (talk) 22:26, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

This file has educational value as an illustration of a commonly reported on piece of misinformation related to this flag. Also, most uploads by this user should be undeleted and placed in the fictional flags of Vietnam category.
