Malpensa (
MXP)
The Malpensa Airport is located some 50 kms north of Milan, towards Lake Maggiore. It's a former military airport, turned into one of the main Italian hubs at the end of the second millennium.
.:. Malpensa has
two terminals, simply called 1 (the bigger) and 2 (the old one). They are connected by a free shuttle bus.
The
Malpensa Express is a special shuttle-
train that runs to and from the
Cadorna railway station, at the very centre of Milan (

.:. The trip takes about 40 minutes. You purchase your ticket (Euro 13) on the spot before taking the train, or
on line.
.:. Since the summer of 2011, some Malpensa Express shuttle-trains reach - instead of the Cadorna station - directly the main
Stazione Centrale.

bus services connects Malpensa to the Stazione Centrale as well as to Linate. The best known is the
Malpensa Shuttle.
