First, our <a href="https://github.com/rollbar/rollbar-php-wordpress/releases/tag/v3.0.0-beta.0" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">WordPress plugin v3.0</a> brings telemetry support with 219 pre-configured WordPress actions, giving you the full breadcrumb trail leading up to errors. The plugin now supports PHP 8.1 to 8.4, includes a refreshed admin UI that looks native to WordPress, and can be installed via Composer for better dependency management. Second, our <a href="https://github.com/rollbar/rollbar-java/releases/tag/v2.1.0-alpha.1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Java SDK now includes ANR (Application Not Responding) detection</a> for Android apps, which captures thread information when your app freezes so you can see exactly what caused the hang. We've also updated the minimum SDK to 21 and target SDK to 33 to keep pace with Android's latest requirements.</p> <h3>Webhook Auto-Shutoff</h3> <p>We've shipped automatic webhook shutoff to protect your integrations from error storms. If a webhook rule hits 100 or more errors within an hour, we'll automatically disable it and send you a notification with the failing URL and a link to re-enable it in your settings. This means no more getting paged at 2am because a third-party service went down and your webhook started flooding their API. You stay in control, and you can turn the rule back on once you've resolved the issue on your end or theirs.</p> <h3>AI Solve (Alpha)</h3> <p>We're working on a new AI feature that will help you solve your errors faster with less effort. Your colleague will be able to see the exact same data and filters, helping you stay aligned without any extra steps.</p> <p>In addition to the sharable dashboard links, here are a few other updates:</p> <h3>Assign Teams to Items via API</h3> <p>For our API users, you can now assign specific teams to items through the <a href="https://docs.rollbar.com/reference/update-an-item" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Update an Item</a> API endpoint. This makes it easier to assign work and keep your team focused on the right issues directly via API calls.</p> <h3>Java 2.0 SDK Alpha</h3> <p>We’ve also released the alpha version of our <a href="https://github.com/rollbar/rollbar-java/pull/321" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Java 2.0 SDK</a>, which includes telemetry (breadcrumbs) to help track users' flows before an error occured. It also allows you to distinguish between handled and unhandled errors. Also, note that Java 2.0 no longer supports Java 7, so be aware before you upgrade. We’ve given the filters a cleaner, more intuitive design that makes navigating and managing your items more accessible. One subtle but helpful change is that when you select a single item in a filter, the value now appears right in the header of the filter section. This minor tweak makes it much simpler to see which filters you’ve applied without digging around.</p> <p>On the Item Detail side, we’ve noticed that some links weren’t as helpful as possible. Specifically, the “First occurrence” links in the item header could sometimes point to occurrences that no longer exist because they’re outside the retention period. We’ve cleaned that up by disabling those links when the data isn’t available, so everything stays clear and consistent.</p> <p>Saving the best for last, we’ve added a highly requested feature around Item Snooze management. You now have the flexibility to set or remove the Snooze status for an item directly through the Update an Item API. Plus, when working with the APIs to list items or retrieve specific ones, you’ll now see Snooze information included, giving you better oversight of what’s been paused and still active.</p> <p>These updates are about making your day-to-day with Rollbar a bit smoother and more intuitive.
