The Indieauth spec was updated? When did that happen?
#
GWG
And did someone write about it?
#
GWG
Because the changelog isn't updated
#
GWG
Not being critical, just asking if it is being looked at and if not, I'll go try to figure out how to do that.

GWG

#

vancouver BC
#
GWG
Fun. Always wanted to visit there
#
GWG
But how do you think they'll take it?
#
aaronpk
i'm hoping that demonstrating interest from many different people and communities is compelling
#
aaronpk
bluesky is also going to use it
#
GWG
aaronpk: Just the client part or the whole spec?
#
GWG
Will there be a recording?
#
GWG
I would love to hear what is Q&A.
#
aaronpk
just the client metadata part
#
aaronpk
there will be a recording
#
aaronpk
interestingly the email/calendar community want to do OAuth with unregistered clients too, but they felt more comfortable with dynamic client registration instead of client metadata documents. i'm also going to co-present on that

Was client_id just a uri before the metadata discovery thingie?
#
aaronpk
it was meant to be the URL to the app's home page, where the app could mark up the name/logo/etc with microformats
#
to2ds
Ok. Just got an auth server prototype working on my website last week so still a bit confused :)
#
GWG
It was one of those things in the spec that didn't get much attention. So moving to standardize it with other similar work wasn't a big issue

Ah. The IndieAuth flow diagram in the spec makes this a bit clearer.
