Easy Dollar Tree Holiday Lantern Wreath DIY | This easy wreath made with Dollar Tree items features a cute lantern & festive holiday stems! | By She So CraftDee | Now, we're going to start with this fourteen-inch wreath form from the Dollar Tree I'm going to need some of this wide burlap ribbon from the Dollar Tree. So, we're going to go ahead and remove the tags from that wreath form and go ahead and get our burlap ribbon. I love this ribbon you guys. If you see this, grab a few rolls. It is such good quality and I believe you get 12 feet out of this roll and it's all finished on the edges so it won't fray which is a plus. So, I'm going to start wrapping this around my wreath and you could see I'm starting at an angle. So, I am going to just hot glue just that first piece to the wreath form just to get it going and you could see how it's at an angle and then we're just going to continue to wrap this around the entire wreath form all the way around at that angle overlapping it about a half or three quarters of an inch inch as you go and as you can see this entire wreath only takes one roll which is perfect so only you only need one roll for this wreath form so I'm hot gluing the ends on the back and here is our finished covered wreath form so now it's time to decorate so what I'm going to do is grab two picks and I have these picks from the Dollar Tree. These have poinsettias, berries, pine cones, and greenery and I also grab two pine cone bundles and berry bundles from the Dollar Tree. So, I'm going to combine these together to make the trim for my wreath form. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to kind of crisscross the two poinsettia bundles at the top. You can see those tails are sticking out but I'm just going to kind of bend them down where they blend in behind each other. You could definitely trim those off if you want to make it permanent I like to leave the tails on mine. So, for those pine cone bundles, I'm going to do the same thing. I'm going to curve those around and stick those underneath each end. Now, what I'm doing is kind of arranging this the way I would like to and then once you do that, go ahead and grab those zip ties. We are going to zip tie these to the wreath form all the way around. I'm just going to grab on to some of that greenery and then go over the top and to the back. Now, we don't want to tighten it just yet. We're going to put one of the stems and two on the sides and we're going to do them loosely at first just to make sure that they are in their place and then we're just going to kind of shuffle the greenery around. Make sure everything is evenly distributed. You can pull and tuck as needed. You can bend those pine cones and once you like it, flip it back over and then tighten those zip ties down. Now, once these are nice and tight the way you would like them, go ahead and turn it back around, give it a little shake, make sure everything is secure in place, and then we can trim off the tails of all of those zip ties. And here is the top trim of our wreath. So you can have the wreath sit upright just like this or you've seen wreaths where the greenery is on the side it's all up to you how you want to display it but I wanted my particular greenery up top so my initial thought was to have a lantern wreath and I have these little lanterns with the little deer in the windows I thought these were so adorable but these are so small so they didn't really stand out much on the wreath so I thought maybe add one of the Dollar Tree Christmas trees to it that would be cute but then I took a peek to my left and saw my lantern that I did for Halloween you guys this Halloween lantern I just cut out the design and put the frosted chopping mats in the windows I have a DIY for this and I'll link it in the upper right hand corner of this video and also in the description box this lantern was the perfect size for this project so I had to grab it to put it in you guys know I love to repurpose all of my projects and this is the perfect project for that So, to attach it to the wreath, I'm just going to cut a long piece of dew twine and loop it around that ring at the very top of the lantern. Go ahead and flip your wreath around and then take the string from that loop and loop it around that center zip tie of your wreath. This will make sure that it's hanging in the very center down the middle of the wreath when you hang your wreath up for display. So, I'm just going to put a little slipknot on there then kind of test to see if it's hanging exactly where I like it. Now, to embellish the bottom of it, I can put this bow on the bottom of the lantern or actually on the wreath form. I decided to do it around the wreath form and again, I'm just going to take a zip tie and go through the back of my bow and wrap it around the wreath form. I had this bow on hand. The taller tree has a ton of different beautiful bows this year or you could make one of my famous finger bows that I love to use in my projects. It's all up to you. So, this is what it look like. I love how this looks you guys. It's so simple and so easy to make. And there you have it you guys a quick and easy lantern wreath that won't break the bank to create now this turned out so awesome and you could keep it up all holiday and winter long
