/ Fuster-Martínez, N (CERN) ; Bambade, P (Orsay, LAL) ; Faus-Golfe, A (Orsay, LAL) ; Kubo, K (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Liu, S (DESY) ; Okugi, T (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Tauchi, T (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Terunuma, N (KEK, Tsukuba ; Sokendai, Tsukuba) ; Wallon, S (Orsay, LAL) ; Yang, R (Orsay, LAL)
A beam halo collimator was installed at the Accelerator Test Facility ATF2 in the spring of 2016. The main objective of the collimator is the reduction of background photons that limit the performance of key diagnostic devices around the Interaction Point, especially the Shintake Monitor, used for measuring the nanometer level vertical beam sizes, and the vertical and horizontal Diamond Sensors, used for transverse beam halo measurements. Compensation of orbit distortion due to quadrupole motion using feed-forward control at KEK ATF
/ Bett, D R (CERN) ; Charrondière, C (CERN) ; Patecki, M (CERN) ; Pfingstner, J (CERN) ; Schulte, D (CERN) ; Tomás, R (CERN) ; Jeremie, A (Annecy, LAPP) ; Kubo, K (KEK, Tsukuba ; Tsukuba, Graduate U. The high luminosity requirement for a future linear collider sets a demanding limit on the beam quality at the Interaction Point (IP). One potential source of luminosity loss is the motion of the ground itself. [...]

Performance of Nanometre-Level Resolution Cavity Beam Position Monitors and Their Application in an Intra-Train Beam Position Feedback System
/ Blaskovic Kraljevic, Neven (JAI, UK) ; Bambade, Philip (Orsay, LAL) ; Bett, Douglas (CERN) ; Bromwich, Talitha (JAI, UK) ; Burrows, Philip (JAI, UK) ; Christian, Glenn (JAI, UK) ; Jang, Si-Won (Korea U.) ; Perry, Colin (JAI, UK) ; Ramjiawan, Rebecca (JAI, UK) ; Tauchi, Toshiaki (KEK, Tsukuba) et al.
A system of three low-Q cavity beam position monitors (BPMs), installed in the interaction point (IP) region of the Accelerator Test Facility (ATF2) at KEK, has been designed and optimised for nanometre-level beam position resolution. The BPMs have been used to provide an input to a low-latency, intra-train beam position feedback system consisting of a digital feedback board and a custom stripline kicker with power amplifier. Improving the Performance of an Orbit Feed-forward Based on Quadrupole Motion at the KEK ATF
/ Bett, Douglas (CERN) ; Burrows, Philip (JAI, Oxford) ; Charrondière, Cedric (CERN) ; Christian, Glenn (JAI, Oxford) ; Jeremie, Andrea (Annecy, LAPP) ; Kubo, Kiyoshi (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Kuroda, Shigeru (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Naito, Takashi (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Okugi, Toshiyuki (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Patecki, Marcin (CERN) et al.
The high luminosity requirement for a future linear collider sets a demanding limit on the beam quality at the Interation Point (IP). Even the natural motion of the ground could misalign the quadrupole magnets to such an extent that the resulting dipole kicks would require compensation. [...]

Probing half $β^*_y$ optics in the Accelerator Test Facility 2
/ Patecki, M (CERN) ; Bett, D (CERN) ; Marin, E (CERN) ; Plassard, F (CERN) ; Tomás, R (CERN) ; Kubo, K (Sokendai, Tsukuba ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Kuroda, S (Sokendai, Tsukuba ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Naito, T (Sokendai, Tsukuba ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Okugi, T (Sokendai, Tsukuba ; KEK, Tsukuba) ; Tauchi, T (Sokendai, Tsukuba ; KEK, Tsukuba) et al.
A nanometer beam size at the interaction point (IP) is required for future linear colliders to achieve the desired rate of particle collisions. KEK Accelerator Test Facility 2 (ATF2), a scaled down implementation of the linear collider beam delivery system, serves for demonstrating the feasibility of the final focus system (FFS). [...]

A nanometer beam size in the interaction point (IP) is required in case of future linear colliders for achieving the desired rate of particle collisions. KEK Accelerator Test Facility (ATF2), a scaled down implementation of the beam delivery system (BDS), serves for investigating the limits of electron beam focusing at the interaction point. [...]

Ground motion compensation using feed-forward control is a novel technique being developed to combat beam imperfections resulting from the vibration-induced misalignment of beamline components. The method is being evaluated experimentally at the KEK Accelerator Test Facility 2 (ATF2). [...]
