Beam test performance of prototype silicon detectors for the Outer Tracker for the Phase-2 Upgrade of CMS / CMS Tracker Group Collaboration
A new CMS tracker detector will be installed for operation at the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). This detector comprises modules with two closely spaced parallel sensor plates and front-end ASICs capable of transmitting tracking information to the CMS Level-1 (L1) trigger at the 40 MHz beam crossing rate. Study of central exclusive $\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 5.02 and 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Central exclusive production of $\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ pairs is measured with the CMS detector in proton-proton collisions at the LHC at center-of-mass energies of 5.02 and 13 TeV. The theoretical description of these nonperturbative processes, which have not yet been measured in detail at the LHC, poses a significant challenge to models. [...]

Measurements of dose-rate effects in the radiation damage of plastic scintillator tiles using silicon photomultipliers / CMS Collaboration
Measurements are presented of the reduction of signal output due to radiation damage for plastic scintillator tiles used in the hadron endcap (HE) calorimeter of the CMS detector. The tiles were exposed to particles produced in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the CERN LHC with a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to a delivered luminosity of 50 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Search for an excited lepton that decays via a contact interaction to a lepton and two jets in proton-proton collisions at ${\sqrt{s}} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Results are presented from a search for events containing an excited lepton (electron or muon) produced in association with an ordinary lepton of the same flavor and decaying to a lepton and two hadronic jets. Both the production and the decay of the excited leptons are assumed to occur via a contact interaction with a characteristic energy scale $\Lambda$. [...]

Experimental Study of Different Silicon Sensor Options for the Upgrade of the CMS Outer Tracker / Tracker Group of the CMS Collaboration
During the high-luminosity phase of the LHC (HL-LHC), planned to start around 2027, the accelerator is expected to deliver an instantaneous peak luminosity of up to $7.5\times10^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. A total integrated luminosity of $3000$ or even $4000$~fb$^{-1}$ is foreseen to be delivered to the general purpose detectors ATLAS and CMS over a decade, thereby increasing the discovery potential of the LHC experiments significantly. Search for a heavy Higgs boson decaying to a pair of W bosons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for a heavy Higgs boson in the mass range from 0.2 to 3.0 TeV, decaying to a pair of W bosons, is presented. The analysis is based on proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Search for lepton flavour violating decays of a neutral heavy Higgs boson to $\mu\tau$ and e$\tau$ in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for lepton flavour violating decays of a neutral non-standard-model Higgs boson in the $\mu\tau$ and e$\tau$ decay modes is presented. The search is based on proton-proton collisions at a center of mass energy $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV collected with the CMS detector in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$ . Search for new neutral Higgs bosons through the $\mathrm{H} \to Z \mathrm{A} \to \ell^{+}\ell^{-} \mathrm{b\bar{b}}$ process in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
This paper reports on a search for an extended scalar sector of the standard model, where a new CP-even (odd) boson decays to a Z boson and a lighter CP-odd (even) boson, and the latter further decays to a b quark pair. The Z boson is reconstructed via its decays to electron or muon pairs. [...]

Search for top squark pair production in a final state with two tau leptons in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for pair production of the supersymmetric partner of the top quark, the top squark, in proton-proton collision events at $ \sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV is presented in a final state containing hadronically decaying tau leptons and large missing transverse momentum. This final state is highly sensitive to high-$\tan{\beta}$ or higgsino-like scenarios in which decays of electroweak gauginos to tau leptons are dominant. [...]
