Orders of Magnitude Improved Cyclotron-Mode Cooling for Nondestructive Spin Quantum Transition Spectroscopy with Single Trapped Antiprotons / BASE Collaboration
We demonstrate efficient sub-thermal cooling of the modified cyclotron mode of a single trapped antiproton and reach particle temperatures $T_+=E_+/k_\text{B}$ below $200\,$mK in preparation times shorter than $500\,$s. This corresponds to the fastest resistive single-particle cyclotron cooling to sub-thermal temperatures ever demonstrated. [...]

Electromagnetic moments of the odd-mass nickel isotopes $^{59-67}$Ni / Müller, P. (Darmstadt, Tech. U.) ; Kaufmann, S. (Darmstadt, Tech. U.) ; Miyagi, T. (Darmstadt, Tech. (CERN) ; Gins, W. (Leuven U.) ; Gorges, C. (Darmstadt, Tech. U.) et al.
The magnetic dipole and the spectroscopic quadrupole moments of the nuclear ground states in the odd-mass nickel isotopes $^{59-67}$Ni have been determined using collinear laser spectroscopy at the CERN-ISOLDE facility. They are compared to ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group (VS-IMSRG) calculations including contributions of two-body currents as well as to shell-model calculations. (Manchester U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R.F. (MIT ; CERN) et al.
Collinear laser spectroscopy measurements were performed on $^{68-74}$Ge isotopes ($Z = 32$) at ISOLDE-CERN, by probing the $4s^2 4p^2 \, ^3\!P_1 \rightarrow 4s^2 4p 5s \, ^3\!P_1^o$ atomic transition (269~nm) of germanium. Nuclear charge radii are determined via the measured isotope shifts, revealing a larger local variation than the neighboring isotopic chains. [...]

Deformation versus Sphericity in the Ground States of the Lightest Gold Isotopes / Cubiss, J G (York U., England) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England ; JAEA, Ibaraki) ; Barzakh, A E (Unlisted) ; Van Duppen, P (KU Leuven, Dept. The changes in mean-squared charge radii of neutron-deficient gold nuclei have been determined using the in-source, resonance-ionization laser spectroscopy technique, at the ISOLDE facility (CERN). From these new data, nuclear deformations are inferred, revealing a competition between deformed and spherical configurations. [...]

We present the design and characterisation of a cryogenic window based on an ultra-thin aluminised PET foil at T < 10K, which can withstand a pressure difference larger than 1bar at a leak rate < $1\times 10^{-9}$ mbar$\cdot$ l/s. Its thickness of approximately 1.7 $\mu$m makes it transparent to various types of particles over a broad energy range. [...]

Nuclear moments of the antimony isotopes $^{113-133}$Sb are measured by collinear laser spectroscopy and used to benchmark phenomenological shell-model and \textit{ab initio} calculations in the valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group (VS-IMSRG). The shell-model calculations reproduce the electromagnetic moments over all Sb isotopes when suitable effective $g$-factors and charges are employed. [...]
