Characterisation of irradiated thin silicon sensors for the CMS phase II pixel upgrade / Adam, W (Vienna, OAW) ; Bergauer, T (Vienna, OAW) ; Brondolin, E (Vienna, OAW) ; Dragicevic, M (Vienna, OAW) ; Friedl, M (Vienna, OAW) ; Frühwirth, R (Vienna, OAW) ; Hoch, M (Vienna, OAW) ; Hrubec, J (Vienna, OAW) ; König, A (Vienna, OAW) ; Steininger, H (Vienna, OAW) et al. /Tracker Group
The high luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider, foreseen for 2026, necessitates the replacement of the CMS experiment’s silicon tracker. The innermost layer of the new pixel detector will be exposed to severe radiation, corresponding to a 1 MeV neutron equivalent fluence of up to $\Phi _{eq} = 2 \times 10^{16}$  cm$^{-2}$ , and an ionising dose of ${\approx } 5$  MGy after an integrated luminosity of 3000 fb$^{-1}$ . P-Type Silicon Strip Sensors for the new CMS Tracker at HL-LHC / Adam, W (Vienna, OAW) ; Bergauer, T (Vienna, OAW) ; Brondolin, E (Vienna, OAW) ; Dragicevic, M (Vienna, OAW) ; Friedl, M (Vienna, OAW) ; Frühwirth, R (Vienna, OAW) ; Hoch, M (Vienna, OAW) ; Hrubec, J (Vienna, OAW) ; König, A (Vienna, OAW) ; Steininger, H (Vienna, OAW) et al. /CMS
The upgrade of the LHC to the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) is expected to increase the LHC design luminosity by an order of magnitude. This will require silicon tracking detectors with a significantly higher radiation hardness. [...]

Measurement of the mass difference between top quark and antiquark in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV / CMS Collaboration
The invariance of the standard model (SM) under the CPT transformation predicts equality of particle and antiparticle masses. This prediction is tested by measuring the mass difference between the top quark and antiquark (Delta m[t] = m[t] - m[t-bar]) that are produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, using events with a muon or an electron and at least four jets in the final state. Measurement of the top quark mass using proton-proton data at $\sqrt{s} =$ 7 and 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A new set of measurements of the top quark mass are presented, based on the proton-proton data recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV corresponding to a luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$. The top quark mass is measured using the lepton+jets, all-jets and dilepton decay channels, giving values of 172.35 $\pm$ 0.16 (stat) $\pm$ 0.48 (syst) GeV, 172.32 $\pm$ 0.25 (stat) $\pm$ 0.59 (syst) GeV, and 172.82 $\pm$ 0.19 (stat) $\pm$ 1.22 (syst) GeV, respectively. Production of leading charged particles and leading charged-particle jets at small transverse momenta in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The per-event yield of the highest transverse momentum charged particle and charged-particle jet, integrated above a given $p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{min}}$ threshold starting at $p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\mathrm{min}} = $ 0.8 and 1 GeV, respectively, is studied in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV. The normalized differential cross section for top quark pair ($ \mathrm{ t \bar{t} } $) production is measured in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV at the CERN LHC using the CMS detector in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$.
