Fermilab is involved in the development of new generation high-field accelerator magnets using state-of-the-art Nb$_3$Sn strands produced using different technologies. Two 1-m long models-mirror configuration and dipole magnet-were fabricated recently at Fermilab based on powder-in-tube (PIT) Nb$_3$Sn strands with small effective filament size. [...]

Test results of shell-type Nb$_3$Sn dipole coils / Feher, S (Fermilab) ; Ambrosio, G (Fermilab) ; Andreev, N (Fermilab) ; Barzi, E (Fermilab) ; Carcagno, R (Fermilab) ; Chichili, D R (Fermilab) ; Kashikhin, V (Fermilab) ; Kashikhin, V V (Fermilab) ; Lamm, M J (Fermilab) ; Orris, D (Fermilab) et al.
Several different shell type coils were made by using the 'wind-and-react' technique, installed in a mirror magnet configuration and tested at Fermilab. The results revealed that the previously suspect splice technique is adequate and is not responsible for the quench performance limitation. [...]

After the successful test of the first long Nb$_3$Sn quadrupole magnet (LQS01), the US LHC Accelerator Research Program (LARP) has assembled and tested a new 3.7 m-long Nb$_3$Sn quadrupole (LQS02). This magnet has four new coils made of the same conductor as LQS01 coils, and it is using the same support structure. [...]

Field Quality of the First LARP Nb$_3$Sn 3.7m-Long Quadrupole Model of LQ Series / Velev, G V (Fermilab) ; Ambrosio, G (Fermilab) ; Andreev, N (Fermilab) ; Anerella, M (Brookhaven) ; Bossert, R (Fermilab) ; Caspi, S (LBL, Berkeley) ; Chlachidze, G (Fermilab) ; DiMarco, J (Fermilab) ; Escallier, J (Brookhaven) ; Felice, H (LBL, Berkeley) et al.
The US-LHC accelerator research program (LARP) built and tested the first 3.7-m long Nb$_3$Sn quadrupole model of LQ series with a 90 mm bore diameter and a target field gradient of 200 T/m. The LQ series, developed in collaboration among FNAL, LBNL and BNL, is a scale up of the previously tested 1-m long technology quadrupoles of TQ series based on similar coils and two different mechanical structures (shell-based TQS and collar-based TQC), with a primary goal of demonstrating the Nb$_3$Sn accelerator magnet technology for the luminosity upgrade of LHC interaction regions. Development and Test of LARP Technological Quadrupole Models of TQC Series / LARP Collaboration
This paper describes the development and test of TQC01b and TQC02E, the second and third models in the TQC series. ANSYS analysis of the mechanical structure, its underlying assumptions, and changes based on experience with TQC01 are presented and discussed. [...]

In support of the development of a large-aperture superconducting quadrupole for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) luminosity upgrade, two-layer quadrupole models (TQC and TQS) with 90 mm aperture are being constructed at Fermilab and LBNL within the framework of the US LHC Accelerator Research Program (LARP). This paper describes the construction and test of model TQC01. [...]
